I'm just kidding, haha.
Or am I?
Well, I literally started off this new year with a bang, since I accidentally stepped on a rotten plank on the porch.
Me and my daughter had gone outside to watch the fireworks at midnight, and I thought it would be a nice idea to watch them from the porch. Sadly for me, that plank had other plans for me that evening. The plank broke, and I fell through the porch with my left leg. I hit my knee really hard as my leg fell through.
It happened so fast that I was a bit in a state of shock, because within just a second, my instincts had already managed to kick in, so luckily I was quickly up on the porch again.
However, my daughter got really scared by the accident, so we went to the front yard to watch the fireworks, while I tried to comfort her.
Before walking out or front door, I hadn't exactly planned on dressing myself to be seen by other people, so in other words, I was wearing a so called "Adam Sandler outfit" - if you catch my drift?
My daughter was still crying, because she was still shocked over the fact that I had fallen through the porch floor, right in front of her, in the middle of the night. (Which is really understandable). My knee and my leg was starting to hurt like hell at this point, and while I tried to comfort her, I turned around, to see a whole crowd of people staring up at us from down the road. Whooooh! Exactly what I wanted in that moment! (Of course, they were all wearing suits and dresses), while I on the other hand, probably looked a bit crazy at this point, considering I was wearing my fashionista outfit, my massive expedition jacket, and a whole leg covered with black mud, and snow. (I was wearing beige sweatpants, so the pitch black mud all over my leg, was pretty noticeable).
My daughter was still upset, and didn't want to stay outside anymore, so we quickly decided to go inside to watch the fireworks from the windows of our living room instead. But as soon as we got inside, my daughter stressfully kept asking me to change my pants (while she was crying), because she thought the black mud on my pants looked scary. Okay, boss! Lol.
So in other words, it was a bit of a chaotic start into the new year.
The first weeks of January have also been quite turbulent, but I've really enjoyed having Christmas vacation and quality time with family and friends again.
I haven't been very well this fall, so that's why I haven't written anything since summer last year. But I'm hoping this new year will bring in some new beginnings.
I have however managed to snap some photos here and there, for the last 6 months, so the photos will be inserted below.
Cheers!
First photo album:
On the first day of Christmas, me and my friends were having drinks, and with the first three pictures below, I want to demonstrate the fact that these three pictures were taken with just a few seconds apart, but from different angles, lightning, and taken by two different phones. Obviously I dropped the phone on picture number three, haha. Did I feel like a catfish then and there? Yes, absolutely! Did me and my friends burst into laughter? Also - yes!
Does it mean that I look like that all the time? NO. Absolutely not. So be kind to yourself and don't compare yourself to airbrushed photos, and AI beauty photo filters, that people use relentlessly on social media.
Also, I had the great idea to take some photos of me and one of my friends' matching nail polish while we were having drinks. LOL. See our Pinterest-worthy inspo pictures below, hahaha.
